The five distinct lodges of Amankora, located in Thimphu, Paro, Punakha, Gangtey, and Bumthang, provide a one-of-a-kind and phenomenal circuit through Bhutan’s valleys.

Amankora Punakha is located just across a suspension bridge along the Mo Chu River, and its rooms are designed to resemble a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse.

The eight apartments, housed in three rammed-earth structures, are tucked away in an orange orchard with views of the Punakha Valley and surrounding fields. They are bordered by fruit and rice paddies. The cosy suites have interiors with wood panelling and a traditional wood-burning bukhari stove.

The communal living room and dining area are housed in a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse – a charming three-storey structure once owned by the queen mother. Therefore a private dinner is a must do thing here. There is also a lovely sun terrace where you may dine outside by candlelight or just unwind in the lovely surroundings. The two-storey spa here offers yoga, massages, as well as a steam room to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Additionally, the hotel has an infinity pool, which was added in December 2017.
